Window, door or the like with insulating cover (1) comprising a shaped body (7) made of insulating material and a protection profile (12) externally fixed to the shaped body (7). The latter is formed by a core (15) made of sintered expanded polystyrene or extruded expanded polystyrene (EPS or XPS) and by a flexible cover film (16), with tensile strength greater than that of the core, longitudinally fixed by gluing on at least one face of the core (15) in a manner so as to obtain a composite bar with greater rigidity than that of the core on its own. Fixing means (14) are also provided for rigidly connecting the shaped body (7) to the frame (5) of the window, door or the like (1). |
