PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow rapid and easy cleaning of a fuel cell and thus effective maintenance of the fuel cell.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system 10 includes an oxidant gas supply device 16 that has: an oxidant gas supply pipe 40 through which oxidant gas is supplied to a fuel cell stack 14; an oxidant gas exhaust pipe 44 through which the oxidant gas is emitted from the fuel cell stack 14; an oxidant gas supply side sealing valve 42a and an oxidant gas emission side sealing valve 42b that are arranged midway on the oxidant gas supply pipe 40 and the oxidant gas exhaust pipe 44, respectively; and a first cleaning liquid circulation path 52 that is provided in the oxidant gas supply pipe 40 and the oxidant gas exhaust pipe 44. A cleaning device 20 is detachably mounted in the first cleaning liquid circulation path 52.
