A coupling device (1) for releasable connection of a medical tubing (2), such as a catheter, is disclosed. The coupling device has no coupling parts being inserted into the lumen of the medical tubing, and is consequently very advantageous for use with medical tubing with soft walls and/or small internal diameters. The coupling device comprises a hollow body member (110) having a first end for receiving an end part of the medical tubing, an opposite second end, for conveying an input or output to said medical tubing, and an intermediate part (113) between said first end and second end, said intermediate part being arranged to accommodate the end part of the medical tubing inserted through said first end and having an inwardly variable diameter. Further, the coupling device comprises a hollow compression sleeve (120) being arrangeable over the intermediate part of the hollow body member. |
