PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a user from forgetting to store a touch pen of a portable information terminal and losing the touch pen.SOLUTION: A tablet terminal 10 comprises: a touch pen storage detection sensor 40 which detects a touch pen 20 being stored in a touch pen storage unit 12; a power switch 14 to which a power-on instruction or a power off instruction is to be given; a touch panel 18 which displays information; and a power control unit 32 which executes a power-on operation or a power-off operation on the basis of the instruction received by the power switch 14. If storage of the touch pen 20 is not detected when the power-off instruction is given, the power control unit 32 displays a message indicating that the touch pen 20 is not yet stored, then if the detection means does not detect the touch pen being stored for a predetermined time after the message is displayed, the power control unit 32 executes the power-off operation. |
