PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing capable of disposing more rolling elements therein.SOLUTION: A rolling bearing 1 includes: an inner ring 2; an outer ring 3; a plurality of tapered rollers 4a placed between the inner and outer rings 2 and 3; and a split retainer 5 with a plurality of retainer segments 10 made of synthetic resin arranged therein annularly along a circumferential direction. The retainer segment includes a pair of rim portions 11 and 12 separated by a predetermined distance from each other and opposed to each other, and a plurality of pillar portions 13a constructed between the rim portions 11 and 12. A space enclosed by adjoining pillar portions 13a and the rim portions 11 and 12 is formed as a pocket 14 for storing the tapered roller 4a. A tapered roller 4b is placed between a pair of circumferential ends 10a and 10b of the mutually adjoining retainer segments 10. |
