PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a western style toilet bowl device capable of making the circumferential wall of a toilet bowl body or its floor surface bright even if a lighting device of a toilet is not lightened and being friendly to a person without waking the person in the case it is used in the night.SOLUTION: In a western style toilet bowl device 1, a rotatable toilet seat 16 is placed on a toilet bowl body 10 having a peripheral wall 13. The toilet bowl device 1 is provided with human body detection means 23, a lighting lamp 20A is provided in the toilet bowl body 10, at least the peripheral wall 13 of the toilet bowl body 10 is formed of a translucent material and configured such that a peripheral area of the toilet bowl is lightened via the peripheral wall 13, and the lighting lamp 20A is configured so as to light up or blink when the human body detection means 23 detects a person. In the western style toilet bowl device 1, the rotatable toilet seat 16 is placed on the toilet bowl body 10 having the peripheral wall 13. The toilet bowl device 1 is provided with the human body detection means 23 and the lighting lamp 20A. The lighting lamp 20A is configured so as to enhance its illuminance when the human body detection means 23 detects a person. |
