PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamed sheet for retaining freshness of foods which is capable of further retaining freshness than a conventional general packaging material when packaging perishable foods.SOLUTION: A foamed sheet for retaining freshness of foods comprises a polyethylene foamed sheet 1 of 1.0-5.0 mm in thickness and 20-50 times in expansion ratio, a polyethylene sealant (a polyethylene layer 3), and a polypropylene film of 20-40 μm and having a surface in contact with foods in which inorganic salt and glycerin fatty acid ester are blended, or a biaxially oriented polypropylene film 2 of 20-40 μm in thickness that sodium ions and magnesium ions are dispersed, and the foamed sheet for retaining freshness of foods is formed by laminating the polyethylene layer consisting of the polyethylene sealant that sodium ions and magnesium ions are dispersed and having a thickness of 20-40 μm on the polyethylene foamed sheet 1.
