PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake core insertion device for enabling smooth insertion of a large and heavy core into a magnet case without using equipment such as a chain block requiring a large space.SOLUTION: A core insertion device is provided for positioning a cylindrical core when inserted into a hole part formed in a magnet case 1 of an electromagnet brake. The core insertion device includes a cylindrical positioning tool 3 being the same in diameter as the core, having protruded parts arranged on the cylindrical part, and adapted to be inserted into the hole part, and a guide tool 4 having a fixed part to the magnet case 1, and at least three guide rollers provided on the fixed part and arranged at equal angular intervals.
