The ornamented ceramic element (10) comprises a ceramic body (11) comprising a recess forming an imprint of a decor (13), where the recess is completely filled with first and second electrically conductive layers having a dimension of 50 nm and comprises a galvanic metal deposit. Each recess comprises a depth of 100 mu m. The ceramic element is covered with a transparent protective layer.
