PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new microorganism capable of accumulating phosphorous ingredients contained in waste water or the like, especially a new microorganism capable of performing dephosphorization treatments under high temperature conditions. SOLUTION: There is provided the new microorganism belonging to Ureibacillus thermophilus and having an ability for accumulating polyphosphoric acid in the cell body under a condition of 50 to 60°C.
