A wrapping machine comprises a pair of opposed belts 15 drawing a length of aluminium foil 10 over a tube former 11, a chain feed 14 introducing bars of chocolate 13 into the tube as it is formed, and a continuously travelling chain 17 having pairs of section bars 16 for supporting the enclosed bars of chocolate, the tube being severed between adjacent chocolatebars by the blades 18 of a rotary cutter 19 coacting with rotary anvils 20 and the severed ends of the foil being folded in a direction transverse of the tube by a folder 21. The folder 21 is given rotary movement by eccentrics 22. Alternatively the folder 21 may be situated below the chain 17. |
