The assembly has a cutting machine i.e. plan cutting machine, containing a display on an operator side and an operation patch. A peripheral device i.e. stack lift (13), comprises a camera (34) and a monitored functional area (35). The functional area is displayed by a real-time image on the display of the cutting machine. The peripheral device is controllable over the operation patch. The cutting machine comprises a desk for receiving a seal and a portal frame arranged above the desk, where the portal frame receives the display and the operation patch.
