Targeted advertising during the alerting phase of a voice call. Targeting is based on both subscribers' demographic profiles (caller and called), location of both subscribers, web-browsing history, call history and information from social networks. Video advertisements briefly discussed. Essentially, this is a telecom operator centric implementation of the ring-back-tone replacement service: the telecom operator node sniffs all information available to it (biographical, address, pattern of consumption, internet sites viewed, calls made and received, social network) and provides, when a call is requested, all this information to an advertisement server through a HTTP REST API call; the advertisement center runs a matching algorithm and returns the pointers to the resulting adverts to the telecom operator's node, which sequentially downloads the pointed out adverts while playing them to the caller during alert.
|
