PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate battery capable of ensuring safety by preferentially opening the prescribed portion when the inner pressure is abnormally raised. SOLUTION: In the laminate battery, an electrode body including a sheet positive electrode, a sheet negative electrode, and a separator is housed in a laminate film outer packaging of a polygon as viewed from above, constituted by folding in half a piece of metal laminate film, a positive outer terminal connected to the sheet positive electrode and a negative outer terminal connected to the sheet negative electrode are drawn out to the outside, and the periphery of the laminate film outer packaging is heat-sealed, and a vent is formed in the periphery of the laminate film outer packaging. The periphery including the folded end formed by folding in half the metal laminate film of the laminate film outer packaging is heat-sealed, a part of the folded end is opened and the opened part is used as the vent.
