PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manufacture a wider optical film. SOLUTION: A band 91 circulates along a longitudinal direction by rotation of a roller 131. A ranging sensor 180 detects the separation distance Cx from the band 91. A control part 198 reads the separation distance Cx from the ranging sensor 180. The control part 198 calculates thereafter a separation distance CL between the band 91 and the roller 131 in a width direction, based on the read distance Cx. The control part 198 determines a critical position Pr and a cutting position Pc of a casting area A1 in the width direction, based on the separation distance CL. A length L0 of a flow-out port 131a in the width direction is regulated based on the critical position Pr. The control part 198 displaces a cutter to the cutting position Pc determined based on the separation distance CL. An edge part 116a of a film 116 is cut by the cutter.
