The present invention provides a polymorphic marker for predicting the risk of ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease in Koreans. The polymorphic marker for predicting the risk of ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease in Koreans is used for predicting the risk of ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s disease as a genetically risk factor for ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s disease which is a lower group of inflammatory bowel diseases in Koreans and as a genetic marker for diagnosing ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s disease.
