The present invention relates to a carrier ring (2) for an encoder assembly (1). The carrier ring (2) comprises suspension means with resilient members (6; 6'; 7; 7'; 8; 8'). Adjustment elements (6a; 16) are arranged in connection with the resilient members (6; 6'; 7; 7'; 7"; 8; 8'), in order to provide an effective resilient effect and adjustability of the carrier ring. The encoder assembly (1) comprises sensing means (3), such as a sensor head, for scanning directly towards a rotatable encoding member (4) positioned on the carrier ring (2). The carrier ring (2) is intended to be installed on a shaft (5) of a machine. |
