PURPOSE: A rudder for a ship is provided to reduce entire resistance of a ship by varying the length of a rudder blade according to the sailing conditions of the ship. CONSTITUTION: A rudder for a ship is arranged at the bottom of a stern of a ship. The length of the rudder is varied in a lengthwise direction according to the sailing conditions of the ship. The rudder comprises a rudder horn(100) and a rudder blade(200). The rudder blade is rotatably coupled to the rudder horn and the length thereof is varied in a lengthwise direction. |
