The purpose of the invention is to provide a method for checking the channel ID of a flight control computer so as to block an error which can occur due to the duplication of channel IDs in a plurality of flight control computers, and a computer-readable recording medium for storing a computer program to practice the method. The present invention, as a means for achieving the purpose, provides the method for checking the channel ID of the flight control computer comprises the steps of: (a) allowing a first flight control computer to receive a synchronization signal from a second flight control computer connected to the first flight control computer and store the synchronization signal in a CPU/IOP memory; (b) allowing the first flight control computer to read the channel ID of the second flight control computer from the synchronization signal stored in the CPU/IOP memory; (c) allowing the first flight control computer to compare whether the channel ID of the first flight control computer and the channel ID of the second flight control computer which are respectively stored in the CPU/IOP memory are identical; and (d) allowing the first flight control computer to generate an error message if the channel IDs of the first and second flight control computers are not identical. According to the present invention, the method for checking the channel ID of the flight control computer can early solve the problem of malfunction which can occur due to the installation of a flight control computer having the same channel ID by the separate replacement of the flight control computer in an aircraft with a plurality of flight control computers mounted therein.
