A session preset method between a terminal and a server is proposed in a MPEG media transport (MMT) system. The present invention collects MMT function information, which is able to be supported by the terminal in the terminal, transmits an MMT initial registration request including the MMT function information from the terminal to the server, stores the MMT function information in the server, generates initial configuration in the server, transmits a result for the MMT initial registration request or MMT initial registration acknowledgement (Ack) including additional information requested by the terminal to the terminal, and includes transmission for transmitting media traffic from the server to the terminal through an MMT protocol and an RTP protocol.
