Disclosed are an LNG operating apparatus and an operating method thereof capable of reducing the operating costs of a facility and any loss during maintenance by compressing BOG nitrogen gas using a single compressor. The LNG operating apparatus comprises a flow rate regulating valve which is to regulate the flow rate of nitrogen gas; a mixing tank where BOG and the nitrogen gas regulated by the flow rate regulating valve are mixed; a mixed compressor which is to compress both the nitrogen gas mixed in the mixing tank and BOG; a re-condenser which condensates the BOG and nitrogen gas compressed in the mixed compressor; a vaporizer which vaporizes the condensed mixed gas; and a calorie controller which supplies the flow rate regulating valve with control signals for regulating the flow rate of the nitrogen gas by analyzing the calorie of the mixed gas vaporized in the vaporizer. |
