PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an array substrate having an oxide semiconductor layer that allows improving reliability and dispersion characteristics and reducing manufacturing cost by simplifying processes, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: An array substrate includes: a substrate on which a pixel region is defined; gate wiring on the substrate; a gate electrode connected to the gate wiring and located on the substrate; a gate insulating film covering the gate wiring and the gate electrode; data wiring provided on the gate insulating film, crossing the gate wiring, and defining the pixel region; a source electrode and a drain electrode provided spaced apart from each other on the gate insulating film corresponding to the gate electrode; and an island-shaped oxide semiconductor layer provided on the source electrode and the drain electrode facing each other in a separation region of the source electrode and the drain electrode so as to be overlapped with one ends of the source electrode and the drain electrode. The source electrode is connected to the data wiring. |
