PURPOSE: To provide a power supply breaker which has an inexpensive constitution and can secure the safety of a power supply facility against vibration, etc., caused by earthquakes. CONSTITUTION: When a plug 42 is inserted into a plug socket for power supply, a triac 7 is connected to AC power supply lines 3 and 3. When such physical abnormality as vibrations of a specific intensity or higher caused by an earthquake, etc., occurs in a facility equipped with the lines 3 and 3 while the triac 7 is connected to the lines 3 and 3 and a detection circuit 5 detects the vibrations, the circuit 5 generates an output. A trigger circuit 6 turns on the triac 7 in response to the output of the circuit 5. Therefore, the lines 3 and 3 are short-circuited to each other and fuses 2 and 2 connected between the lines 3 and 3 and an AC power source 1 blow out. As a result, the power supply to the lines 3 and 3 are broken. |
