PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of depositing an antibacterial agent on a clothing fabric together with a water-repellent agent even on a fiber product such as a clothing fabric of rain wear, which needs to deposit the water-repellent agent on its surface.SOLUTION: The method uses a water-repellent agent containing a powdery silver-based inorganic antibacterial agent added thereto for water-repellent treatment, and thereby can deposit the antibacterial agent on the clothing fabric together with the water-repellent agent even on the fiber product such as the rain wear, which needs to deposit the water-repellent agent on its surface.
