PURPOSE: A Doherty amplification apparatus and method are provided to improve the linearity efficiency of an input signal by inserting an analog predistortion linearization unit into the Doherty amplification apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A Doherty amplification apparatus comprises a distributer (210), a linearizing unit (220), a main amplifier (230), a sub amplifier (240), and an impedance converter (250). The linearizing unit linearizes an applied input signal through analog predistortion. The main amplifier amplifies the linearized signal. The sub amplifier amplifies the linearized signal. The distributer distributes the applied input signal. The impedance converter compensates phase difference between the main and sub amplifiers. |
