PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device achieving power saving in NW side resources and terminal power.SOLUTION: The terminal device comprises: a PDP connection restriction unit for outputting a PDP context nullification instruction signal when the own terminal is in a preservation state, and for outputting a PS communication state transition instruction signal on acquiring a WLAN connection failure signal; a radio control unit for nullifying a PDP context on acquiring the PDP context nullification instruction signal, and for executing transition to a PS communication state on acquiring the PS communication state transition instruction signal; a trigger reception unit for receiving a trigger indicative of a data transmission/reception opportunity; and a WLAN control unit for executing connected to the a wireless LAN access point on receiving the trigger, and for outputting a WLAN connection failure signal when the connection to the wireless LAN access point fails. Data transmission/reception is executed using one of wireless LAN communication or PS communication by which connection is successful.
