WEB BROWSING SCREEN THUMBNAIL GENERATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a suitable thumbnail without increasing the load on a user terminal.SOLUTION: When a Proxy server extension function 48 transmits and receives a Web page through a Proxy server 18, Web resources are saved. Predetermined event occurrence indicative of a timing when a thumbnail should be generated is detected by display completion detection means 30, constant-time interval detection means 32, and Web page transition detection means 34 of a Web browser extension function 26. Window state detection means 36 detects a window state. When the predetermined event occurrence is detected, browsing history transmission means 38 transmits a browsing history including the window state to the Proxy server 18. The Proxy server extension function 48 generates the thumbnail based upon the saved Web resource and received browsing history.
