PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize calibration of an optical sensor in an image reading device by simple calibration and control.SOLUTION: An image reading device including a calibration function for adjusting a correction value for correcting the result of reading by imaging elements comprises: a line sensor 13 including the imaging elements; a colorimeter 15 which performs colorimetry by measurement of a light quantity for each wavelength range of incident light; a calibration plate 31 on which a plurality of color patches to be read in calibration processing of the line sensor are formed, the calibration plate 31 being provided movably in accordance with the alignment of the imaging element in the line sensor; and a reading controller 14 which controls the colorimetry operation by the colorimeter and the calibration processing using the calibration plate 31.
