PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent or reduce supply of high-temperature hot water when a storage type water heater fails.SOLUTION: A water heater includes: a hot water storage means which stores hot water; a first heat source which heats the hot water in the hot water storage means; a hot water supply channel which supplies the hot water in the hot water storage means to a hot water supplied part; a water mixing valve which adds water to the hot water flowing in the hot water supply channel; a second heat source which heats the hot water flowing in the hot water supply channel; a bypass channel which bypasses the second heat source; a first electrical drive valve arranged on the bypass channel; a second electrical drive valve arranged in a section parallel to the bypass channel of the hot water supply channel; and a control means which controls the first and second electrical drive valves. The control means closes both the first and second electrical drive valves when a failure is detected in the water mixing valve. |
