The present invention provides an image forming apparatus, including: an image bearing member; a development device that develops an electrostatic latent image formed in the image bearing member with a toner; a detection portion that detects information on humidity within the apparatus body; a time measuring portion that acquires a time information; a humidity sensor that detects humidity around the development device; and a controller that sets a parameter about an image density formed in a transfer material, based on history information about the information on humidity within the apparatus body and the time information detecting the information on humidity and based on information acquired by the acquisition portion.
