An apparatus for making objects by forming a sheet (100) of thermoformable plastic material comprises a forming station provided with forming means for forming in the sheet (100) a formed portion (50) and a blanking station (3) provided with blanking means (4, 5) for blanking and separating from the sheet (100) the formed portion (50) and obtaining an object (60); the forming means comprise at least one punch (4) provided with a first cutting profile (11) and a die (5) comprising at least one cavity (7) suitable for housing the formed portion (50) and provided with a second cutting profile (12); the first cut- ting profile (11) and the second cutting profile (12), which mutually interact when the punch (4) is inserted into the cavity (7) so as to cut said formed portion (50), extend in respective non- planar surfaces so as to cut the formed portion (50) along a spatially curved cutting line.
