PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing basic materials for spindles is provided to offer an economic process of manufacturing the basic materials by minimizing material and machining costs. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing basic materials for spindles comprises following steps. A hollow shaft is formed by roll- piercing a solid shaft. The roll-pierced hollow shaft is compressively rolled. A part of the hollow shaft, corresponding to a large diameter part is regionally heated. The heated hollow shaft is forged by a die to form the large diameter part. The basic materials for the spindles are manufactured by separating the forged mold.
