PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-strength thin steel sheet that is excellent in workability and has a good hole expansibility, and an advantageous method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A high-strength thin steel sheet has a composition comprising, by mass%, 0.05-0.20% C, ≤0.10% Si, 0.2-1.7% Mn, ≤0.10% P, ≤0.10% S, 0.01-0.10% Al, ≤0.010% N and the balance being Fe and unavoidable impurities, while satisfying a relation: [%Mn]/[%C]≥2.0, wherein [%M] represents the content of element M (mass%) in the steel. In the steel, the ferrite area ratio is 90% or more, the pearlite area ratio is 1-10% and the distance between lamellar structures in the pearlite is 0.5 μm or less. |
