The component system comprises cuboid-shaped components (10) with four side portions forming a circumferential frame and connecting tubes (12) for connecting one component or multiple components with one another or with a wall, a roof and a floor of a room. The side portions have openings for introducing the connecting tubes. The openings provided in two opposite side portions of the cuboid-shaped component are arranged such that a straight connecting tube is completely passed through the component perpendicularly to both side portions. An independent claim is included for a cuboid-shaped component for presentation furniture, particularly for an exhibition stand and a shop fitting.
