PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire harness capable of easily detecting fraud on a cable without drastically altering an external device to be connected.SOLUTION: A wire harness 10 includes: a first conductive covering layer 112 and a second covering layer 114 covering a communication cable; a first insulation tube for insulating the first conductive covering layer 112 and the second conductive covering layer 114; a battery 135; a battery control part 134 for charging the battery 135 with electricity if the electric power is supplied from a game machine 20; and a detection part 133 for detecting short-circuit between the first conductive covering layer 112 and the second conductive covering layer 114 with the electric power supplied from the game machine 20 or the electric power supplied from the battery 135.
