PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve display image quality.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes: switching means for selectively supplying either one of a video signal with positive polarity and a video signal with negative polarity to a pixel driving electrode; switching control means for, in a predetermined period shorter than one vertical scanning period of the video signal, sequentially shifting a polarity changeover pulse by group unit to sequentially input the pulse to the switching means belonging to each group; and common voltage generation means for changing from a first voltage value to a second voltage value the voltage value of a common voltage applied to a common electrode opposed to the pixel driving electrode within the predetermined period. |
