Polyurethane composite material containing mineral particles

The composite material comprises 80 wt.% of expanded mineral particles and a matrix of polyurethane. The composite material has a density of 150-280 kg/m 3>. The expanded mineral particles have a particle size of 2-4 mm and a bulk density of 150-210 kg/m 3>. The expanded mineral particles contain expanded glass. The matrix contains polyurethane foam. The composite material further comprises a phosphorus-containing flame retardant. Independent claims are included for: (1) a layered composite material; and (2) a method for producing a composite material.
