PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily and inexpensively provide a chemically durable glass composition that is suitably employable as a glass filler for incorporating into a dental composition, and to provide a glass composition that can reduce a load on a glass manufacturing apparatus. SOLUTION: The glass composition comprises components of 45≤SiO<SB>2</SB>≤65, 5≤Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>≤15, 0<MgO≤10, 0<CaO≤15, 15<SrO≤35, 18<(MgO+SrO)≤40, and 0≤ZrO<SB>2</SB><5, each in mass%, and is substantially free of B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, F, BaO and alkali metal oxides.
