PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting device capable of reducing the number of parts to the minimum, reducing the assembling man-hour and suppressing generation of failure as much as possible. SOLUTION: The lifting device 1 is provided with a fixed part A fixed to a high position and a lifting part B for fixing equipment to be lifted hung down from the fixed part A by a wire rope C, and lifts the equipment to be lifted by driving of a motor 2. At descending of the lifting part B, a plurality of detection items are detected using a detection auxiliary means and a single detection means. Specifically, the detection item is sagging detection of the wire rope C, end detection of the wire rope C and descending limit detection of the lifting part B. The detection means is provided with a limit switch 5 and a lever 6, and is provided with a first auxiliary means 6 for assisting the sagging detection; a second auxiliary means 8 for assisting the end detection of the wire rope C; and a third auxiliary means 9 for assisting the descending limit detection of the lifting part B.
