The invention relates to a drive device (1) for motor vehicles, having a drive assembly (2) which is operatively connected via a differential gearing (3) to two drive output shafts (4, 5) and having an angle drive (22) via which the drive device (1) is operatively connected to a drive shaft (23), wherein the drive assembly (2) has a rotor (9) of an electric machine (7), which rotor is operatively connected to the differential gearing (3), and wherein the angle drive (22) is formed by a pinion shaft (24), which can be driven by means of the drive shaft (23), and by a crown gear (26) which is in meshing engagement with a pinion head (25) of the pinion shaft (24), and here, an axis of rotation (27) of the pinion shaft (24) runs transversely with respect to an axis of rotation (21) of the rotor (9) and of the crown gear (26).
