PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide space-saving and inexpensive washing and dust collection equipment having superior mist separation performance as washing and dust collection equipment (ring slit washer, hereafter, RSW) for blast furnace gas etc. SOLUTION: A precleaning chamber 11 is provided at the top part side of a mist separator (MS) built-in type RSW 10, a venturi scrubber 17 is provided at the bottom side of the MS built-in type RSW 10, and a mist separator 13 is provided between the precleaning chamber 11 and venturi scrubber 17 so as to surround an RSE inlet pipe 14 serving as a gas introducing pipe. A substantially cylindrical inner part 18 with a top side of an inner hollow part 18a directed toward an outlet duct 19 is provided in the mist separator 13 so as to surround a part of the RSE inlet pipe 14.
