<p>54AbstractMETHOD FOR STOPPING CONTINUOUS POLYMERIZATION5 A method of stopping the continuous polymerization witha simple operation in which the content temperature increase of a reaction vessel can be prevented and the continuous polymerization can be stopped stably, when manufacturing the polymer by continuous polymerization can be provided by:10 a method of stopping a continuous polymerization which comprises continuously supplying a monomer and a polymerization initiator into a reaction vessel to polymerize the monomer in the reaction vessel; andcontinuously removing a polymerization composition from an15 inside of the reaction vessel to an outside of the reaction vessel,wherein, the method comprises:discontinuing the supply of the polymerization initiator into the reaction vessel, and20 continuously supplying a monomer-containing raw materialhaving a dissolved oxygen concentration of 0 to 5 ppm into the reaction vessel at a flow rate in a range of 1/500 to 1/10 of a flow rate of a raw material supplied at the polymerization reaction,25 in the state that the stirring in the reaction vessel andthe removal of the polymerization composition to the outside out of the reaction vessel are continued.
