PURPOSE: A biofilm filtration apparatus for water treatment is provided to perform a smooth purification, and to enhance the treatment efficiency by simultaneously removing total phosphorous, suspended materials, dissolved organic materials, and etc. which are included in the inflow water. CONSTITUTION: A biofilm filtration apparatus for water treatment comprises an inflow water reservoir(10), a line mixer(20), a flocculation basin(30), a biofilm filtration basin(40), a treated water reservoir(50), and a back washing facility(60). The line mixer mixes the inflow water and coagulant instantly, and creates micro flocs by the coherence with foreign substances included in the inflow water. The flocculation basin coheres foreign substances not cohered and micro flocs which are included in the inflow water from the line mixer, and produce coarse flocs. The biofilm filtration basin has multiple filter layers in order to filter the coarse flocs contained in the inflow water from the flocculation basin, and to adsorb the dissolved organic materials. The back washing facility is installed between the biofilm filtration basin and the treated water reservoir in order to back-wash the filter layers of the biofilm filtration basin by sending the air and treated water in the treated water reservoir to the biofilm filtration basin according to the water level of the biofilm filtration basin. |
