PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a flash memory drive on a server as a cache and move a frequently accessed area to a higher hierarchy in a storage system, thereby improving access performance.SOLUTION: A management server is provided which controls a storage sub-system on the basis of a cache status on a server. A system comprises: a storage system that can be connected to the server and manage a plurality of storage hierarchies each of which can store data sent from the server; and a management computer that can manage one of the plurality of storage hierarchies so as to store the data on the basis of whether the data is stored in a cache memory in the server. |
