PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device of an escalator usable in both a power failure time and a maintenance time.SOLUTION: A lighting device includes an illuminating lamp 6, a detecting part 11, a control part 13 and a switching part 12. The illuminating lamp 6 is arranged in a truss 1 of an escalator. The detecting part 11 detects a power failure. The control part 13 lights the illuminating lamp 6 by supplying electric power from a battery 9 to the illuminating lamp 6 when detecting the power failure by the detecting part 11. The switching part 12 is operated by a maintenance engineer of the escalator. The illuminating lamp 6 is lit by performing predetermined operation to the switching part 12. |
