PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt slip detecting method of a belt conveyor capable of detecting a belt slip with excellent accuracy even during the acceleration or the deceleration of the belt conveyor.SOLUTION: A rotation number detection device is arranged on a driving pulley for driving a belt, and a driven pulley which is driven by the belt and rotated, respectively, and the rotation number detection device measures the number of rotation per unit time of the driving pulley and the driven pulley. A difference in a peripheral velocity between the driving pulley and the driven pulley is calculated from the calculated number of rotation, and when the difference in peripheral velocity exceeds the preset range of the difference in peripheral velocity, the difference is detected as the belt slip. Since the belt slip is detected while actually measuring the number of rotation of the pulley, the belt slip can be detected with excellent accuracy even if the belt conveyor accelerates or decelerates the belt speed. |
