PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for forming a protective film capable of preventing deterioration in sensitivity to laser exposure and preventing adhesion of foreign matter to the surface of a silicone rubber layer, and a method of producing a direct drawing waterless lithographic printing plate using the composition for forming a protective film.SOLUTION: A composition for forming a protective film includes a polymer compound and a compound represented by general formula (I), wherein R is a 3-4C saturated hydrocarbon group.
