PURPOSE: A local power system and a control method thereof are provided to maintain the operation ratio of a binary power system as a relay for preventing a reverse power flow is not operated. CONSTITUTION: A control method for a local power system comprises a power system(3), a power load(2), and a unit for preventing a reverse power flow. The power load is connected to a power generator. The unit for preventing a reverse power flow blocks the reverse power flow from the power generator to the local power system. The control method controls the quantity of electricity supplied to the power load by coping with the sate of the variable power load.
