PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a scanning projection device having a simple configuration and capable of improving resolution while reducing image distortion of a projected image.SOLUTION: A distortion correction prism that deflects a light beam at a predetermined angle is installed between a scanning mirror and a projected surface so that an angle formed by a light beam reflected by the scanning mirror and the projected surface has a predetermined angle. An astigmatism correction element that generates astigmatism in a light beam is installed between a laser light source and the distortion correction prism, so that the astigmatism correction element adds astigmatism that cancels astigmatism added to said light beam in the distortion correction prism to said light beam.
