PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highlight a link area where a link text similar to a link text displayed in a link area going to be selected is displayed.SOLUTION: A link area highlighting device 1 comprises: a first link area detection section 14 that detects a link area from a web page being displayed; a link information storage device 15 that stores link information including a link text displayed in the link area detected by the first link area detection section 14; a second link area detection section 16 that detects a link area going to be selected; a link information retrieval section 17 that, from the link information storage section 15, retrieves link information including a link text similar to the link text displayed in the link area detected by the link area detection section 16; and a link area highlighting control section 18 that performs control to highlight the link area where the link text equivalent to the link text in the link information retrieved by the link information retrieval section 17 is displayed.
